Sandra F. Lekan was born in
Sandra has over 7 years experience working in hospital and physician based laboratories where she has worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. She has extensive experience in regulatory compliance with FDA, HIPPA, CLIA, OSHA, and MEDICARE and various accrediting bodies such as JCAHO, CAP, and AABB. She has worked in many areas of the laboratory to include Blood Bank, Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Urinalysis, Mycology and Coagulation. Sandra continued to work as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist while she attended law school full-time at the
After graduating law school, Sandra worked as a Georgia State Prosecutor where she prosecuted various types of criminal cases to include DUI, Family Violence Battery, Drug/Traffic Offenses and Vehicular Homicide. During that time, she gained significant jury trial experience. This experience has prepared Sandra to successfully defend her clients in criminal cases.
Sandra then worked for the law firm of Alembik, Fine & Callner where she used her extensive medical background to defend doctors in medical malpractice actions and pharmaceutical companies in class action products liability cases. Sandra has also worked as adjunct professor at
